Parish Stewardship Resources

Welcome to the stewardship pages of our diocesan website. With this website the Department of Stewardship hopes to provide an electronic source of ideas, programs, resources and inspiration to encourage visitors (while helping congregations encourage members) to experience the joy of giving and embrace a lifestyle of generosity according to God's Word and Christ's example.

Whithin the pages listed below you will find resources for Parish Annual Giving Programs; Planned giving resources and how we might help your establish you own Parish Legacy Fund; Information concerning the Diocese of Nebraska Alleluia Fund and how you can participate directly in the growth and development of ministry throughout the diocese; and other ways you might give of your time, talent, and treasure.

What is Stewardship?

Christian stewardship is grateful and responsible use of God's gifts in the light of God's purpose as revealed in Jesus Christ. Christian stewards, empowered by the Holy Spirit, commit themselves to conscious, purposeful decisions. Or even simpler definitions are:

"What I do, with all that I have, after I say, "I believe."" and "Using the gifts God has given us, to do the work God is calling us to do."
